EBC’s Taste of Grace Food Truck ministry is a community outreach that engages our church community to live as everyday missionaries with the hungry and the homeless.  The mission of Taste of Grace Food Truck ministry is to share the love of Christ by helping to alleviate hunger among the residents in need within our community.  The truck is staffed by ministry volunteers and the food it serves comes from donations.  The ultimate goal is to create opportunities to share Christ and that all people have sufficient nutritious food to support their health and well-being.

Ministry

Taste of Grace Food Truck ministry partners with local businesses and organizations that house poor and homeless individuals to serve free meals to their temporary residents.  Volunteers of the ministry are intentional about engaging those they serve in friendly conversation and demonstrate genuine love towards the people they encounter.

Our current volunteer opportunities are listed below:

A Taste of Grace Food Truck

This ministry is operated by the ministries and members of Elizabeth Baptist Church.  Volunteers sacrifice their time and resources to serve with A Taste of Grace.  A Taste of Grace consists of two volunteer teams, the ministry team and the serving team.  The ministry team serves in various capacities including relational evangelism, sanitation, and connecting individuals with other services via our resource sheet.  The serving team handles and serves the food on the truck.

Volunteers that serve on the ministry team are required to participate in the Contagious Christian training which equips individuals to share their faith in Jesus without fear.   Moreover, volunteers with the Serving team must participate in the ServSafe Food Handler’s training which helps participants understand how to safely handle food.  Opportunities to participate in these trainings are listed below:
